Thanks for reading
I have a predicament and wondered if anyone had any ideas...
I am an aupair with a family and have been here since October.
I don't get paid for babysitting but the parents are going away for 5 days over the weeked soon and have asked me what arrangement we can come to.
They suggested using 2 nights I am supposed to do each week as the babysitting quota - and then fit the other hours into my 30 hours i do each week.
There was also some mentions of a payment - although this wioll not be per hour...
Does anyone have any ideas on how this could work? What are the suggested rates.
I babysit for anothe girl and play with her and the mother pays me 25 ch an hour, although the minimum rate as 13 ch an hour - more for when the kids are asleep.
I will be in total charge of the girls as the parents are out of the country - so it will be more like 24 hour babysitting...
Anyway, it would be great if anyone has ideas,
Thank you!

We also pay CHF 20 / hour for a baby sitter.
But if it's a lot more hours, like the situation you describe, I'd expect to pay a bit less than that. For 3 full days and nights, I'd expect to pay around CHF 450-500. I don't think the parents will be able to find someone good for much cheaper than that.
I hope you'll get some more replies here...(-:
