DELL laptop support

I have a DELL laptop that needs a new harddrive and, with its three years, is outside of the warranty.

Any ideas where I can get the part, hand it in, or have it repaired? I just spend an hour or so digging through the DELL website which is proving to be rather unhelpfull.

tnx!

1 - If I am not mistaken, somewhere near the the GVA airport DELL has an office where they sell laptops. Try finding their contact details.

2 - If the problem is only with the hard-drive, then you can also go to MediaMarkt where they will change it for you (I guess even free of charge). You can also go to FNAC, but I guess it will cost you some money.

Good luck.

All you need to do is call them and they can let you know whether the part exists and what you need to do from there (ie do you want the part or the repair).

here's the contact details and address -

If Dell no longer stock the part, you should be able to easily buy the hardware from some third party at half the price. Dell of course wont then support it, but if it's out of warranty it doesnt make a difference.
