I would suggest you mention the model of the Garmin it will be easier for people to help.. Depending on what update is required.

Hello my dear.
I have Garmin too. Did you register it on your PC when you bought it? If so the software is probably on your PC already and it should automatically sync and update when you connect it.
If not then maybe you can download the software for your particular model from their website.
If you need it you could borrow my lead which will connect it to your computer, let me know.

No did not register on pc and have NO idea how to download, thats why I am willing to pay (useless at this) can u help?

It's not always easy to update a Garmin, it depends on the age of the model and if it's got USB. If there's no USB you need a serial cable and mostly they didn't ship with them
Older Garmins, like the Etrex Summit for example, shipped with a serious bug that meant the grid position for Switzerland is displayed wrong. So, if you've got one, it really needs an upgrade!
What model do you have? And why do you need to upgrade? Is something broke?
