Contact any of the established Swiss charities –

Caritas, Centre social protestant, Emmaus, Armée du Salut, also “Au coeur des Grottes” (a shelter for women in distress) or the mainstream English-speaking churches in and around Lake Léman.

The need for English speakers is considerable because many of the refugees, asylum seekers and others in difficult circumstances tend to use English as their second language rather than French.

Assistance is needed in a variety of ways, from preparing and serving meals to writing a letter or making a phone call, or simply having a chat in English.

Best wishes, R.
