interview tips please
Hi there,

I have a job interview on Thursday and I was wondering if interviews here are the same as in North America or the UK? Do they ask standard questions such as what are your strengths, weaknesses etc? It's an interview in a language school for a teaching position. I assume they may ask me also about teaching methodology etc, but in general would the format be the same? Should I be prepared for any personal questions? Any tips are welcomed. Cheers!

Hi there,

Contact Roger (epicure). He works in that area, and can give you some great tips. I have had some interviews here, and the strengths/weaknesses question did come up, as did the 'why are you changing jobs/why would you like to work here'.

But I can highly recommend Roger, he helped me redo my CV two years ago, and gave me some interview tips, and it really paid off.

Good luck on Thursday!

:-) Liz

Hi Liz,

Thanks for your post. I tried finding Roger but didn't manage to find him among the members on this forum. Thanks anyways; hopefully it will go OK.

Did you also interview for a teaching position?

Hi,

His user name is epicure and you'll find him under Geneva/Lausanne members. I interviewed for positions in consulting.
