Now here’s a thing.
Julian T, rightly or wrongly, depending on your point of view and/or religious/cultural leanings, is getting huge amounts of flak for posting a couple of anti-Muslim/Islamic/pro-Jewish, posts and is being branded as xenophobic (some of the nicer things said).
I’m not supporting, condoning or condemning either of his posts, but on reflection, I find it a little strange that the posts from Drew schelker who is (living in Switzerland and) so blatantly pro-American, anti-Swiss, sexist and a total misogynist - gets away with anti-women, anti-Swiss, anti-everything-including-lewd-coke-bottle-innuendo-“jokes”, and is supported by and encouraged by, a huge number of guys (and a few deluded girls, are you that desperate my sisters?).
I appreciate that Julian T deserves some of the criticisms that are coming his way, but why are you all being so hypocritical? Denouncing posts that say that Muslims are wrong in their treatment of women and at the same time, adding jokey little posts to an anti-Swiss (women)/pro-American (women) person poking cheap shots at women, in general, is surely just as bad?.
Which is worse? Both are extreme degrees of intolerance – one is fashionable, the other not so fashionable. What makes one (Drew) “yay! okay, dude, you’re the man” and the other(JulianT) “you are SO wrong”?.
Are we so obsessed with the current “political correctness theme of the day” that we cannot recognise right from wrong and be a little less extremist/sexist/misogynistic/xenophobic and just start being a little bit “nicer” to each other?
