Hi - I picked up a Buy Club voucher for 19th Avenue (Eaux-Vives) and scored a lovely hairdresser, called Michelle, who spoke perfect English and really encouraged me to go for a new look.  I loved the look and loved her!  I would highly recommend.

NB. I see that a "michelle" has also responded to this thread - Michelle M - is it the same hairdresser?  I'd love to know as a home hairdesser to cut the salon costs would be fab!

Oh, and I've been to a few h/dressers in GVA and didn't find the "experience" of any of them worth the extortionate cost.  Michelle was great - but the service in the actual salon not so great.  No offer of a drink for over an hour and a half - that includes water!!  

Sometimes the Hairdressers look for Models in Basel so you dont have to pay if you are just a model, check Unibas you might see an Add.
