Alternatively if there are 'real' shop alternatives to the main dealer ( a sort of a kwik-fit garage store) that dont charge the earth i would love to hear of those too...

Speedy is just a cheaper garage for auto repairs.
Is there not a simple place where one can buy auto accessories, parts, products? It seems bizarre to go to the dealership to simply buy a replacement bulb. Or what about simply buying oil, brake fluid, fuel additives, etc???
I'd kill for a Canadian Tire right now!

I have bought break pads/discs, oil, bulbs, glow plugs etc on French websites. Used allopneu, 123pneu, bricolage, and of course a wholelot of amazon.fr. Not sure about the delivery to CH as we do live over the border. But definately better prices for a dyi job.
Good luck.

I'm pretty sure that Speedy has retail operations in addition to their garage services.
That said, try these guys for mail order. The prices look decent.
