First (Little) Buddha Bar in Switzerland Opens in Geneva

According to a report in today's Tribune de Genève, the "Little" Buddha Bar opened today in Geneva.  This location is the first bar under this label in Switzerland managed by the french group George V Eatertainment.  The Geneva bar joins other locations including Las Vegas, Amsterdam, Nicosia, Dakar and Sharm el Sheik.

The lounge-bar-restaurant is situated in Place Neuve, next to the music conservatory.  The 800-square meter site includes three levels.  Some 45 staff have been hired.

The director-general, Daniel Egault told the Tribune de Genève that he  believes that the location responds to a real need in the area.  The restaurant  will offer fusion cuisine and the lounge-bar space with a resident DJ, Allan Davis, on site nightly.

(Trams 12, 13, 17 pass by Place Neuve)

I was just in the one in Amsterdam and learned about this one opening. Nice joint! Food is pretty good too. I will definitely make a visit.

Thanks for the reminder!

From the outside, it looks GREAT! I wasn't inside yet. Will report back after trying it...

We approached them to see if they want to collaborate with us on our new group-buy site, www.BuyClub.ch. If they collaborate with us, I have no doubt many glocals will want to try the place. Keep you updated!

I went there last night around 8 and sorry for them but they missed their opening...

20 min to get in ( normal for an opening)

15 min to let my jacket at the dressing

40 min to order 15 min waiting for the barman who couldn t find the wine I order in the cellar. then the wine was served with hot glasses....

the bar was full of dirty glasses as the crew was totally overflowing ( 3 barmen when at least 8 would be necessary)

despite this, I will give them another chance as the deco is nice, music always good and I ve been told that food is ok.
