yea, its already snowing here. Also, they've upped the warning to the highest level (just heard the news report from the meteo). So now its at red, and expected to get to 22cm. The good news is that they don't expect ice to form, which is great for you drivers out there.

Like I said, time to grab your beer, and a good book. Forget that mess out there!

I am already at home, car in the carport, logs on the fire buring away and a bottle of wine in the kitchen ever so slowly seems to be getting closer to miraculously opening itself---Tongue out

BTW, does anyone know  what the most severe level is?  Is there a snow emergency equivalent,  like defcon 5  or  something?

Meanwhile,  saw this on youtube about snwo chemistry... actually very interesting... of course, I might have learned this by taking a chemistry course instead of stealing trays from the university cafeteria and going traying at night in the arboretum....while sipping peppermint schnapps...

They finished the work on the shower yesterday (and the toilet on friday) and put the first coat of paint on the walls this afternoon. Ariel is a very happy lil snowed in person tonight.

don't know how it really works here in the winter, but in the UK if you couldn't get in it wasn't so much of a problem.  We got an email at 4.30pm today to advise us to leave home at least an hour earlier so we could get to work on time - is that just mean or is this normal Swiss working practice??
