Long term car rental

Hi,

just wondering if anyone has had any success on this front?

I'm looking to get access to a car for a few months but the usual rental agencies are quite expensive.

Alternatively, if anyone was looking to rent their unused car privately (if they were leaving for a few months for example) perhaps that could work too.

Thanks,

Eoin

A decent car will cost you around +1000chf a month on rent (even luckly you find a car in a local garage) and how many KM are allowed to drive is an other story!

I would suggest! If you really need a car, Buy a decent used car around 2500CHF, insurance and tax will cost you somewhere in between 500 to 900 for 6 months

2500+700= 3200 (6 months) 533CHF a month

if you are lucky enough you can sell the car later for 500-1000chf or more (private buyer).

Option 2:

I have a SUV Mitsubishi outlander (not an economical and city vehicule), i hardly use once in a week because got another car from my company. If you are interested, we can arrange! send me a PM ;)

Hi Eoin,

Not sure if you have about a car hire scheme called mobility.ch

It may a cheaper option as they charge by the hour and km and include all fuel charges too.
