MMA gym, club or trainer

Hello,

Does anyone know a good MMA gym, club or trainer in Geneva? I'd like to start in january (as a beginner) but have no idea which ones are good or not...

Thanks for any recommendations, and have a nice day.

Hi George

The MMA gym in Carouge has shut down but there are some very top notch boxing gyms and Krav maga gyms in Geneva. From the boxing point of view, there is DFC Sports in Boulevard des Philosophes, the trainer is a fantastic guy. Lior Zabari is a top notch Krav trainer in Geneva, I think his site is kravmagageneva.com. I trained at Fightness in Thoiry when I was that side of the world, more relaxed trainers, brilliant for beginners (also has lifting gym). They do have MMA training there but unfortunately due to French regulations, no striking on the ground. If you’re in it for fitness, go the boxing route, if its self-defence or close quarter combat, Krav is your best bet. Take care.
