Trying to fill the gap between students and expats

Hi you all! I have been living here in Geneva now for over a year. I became here as a student and transformed to something like 27 years old expat. Since few months I have been trying to find people of my age and in kind of similar situation without any mentionable success. All I have found, is young(er) students staying here for short while, and old(er) expats staying here for pretty much undefined time.

My questions is as follows: are there, and if, where are people between ages 25 and 30? It would be really nice to know if you exist. At least I'm having difficulties to adapt myself to any of previously mentioned groups. Too old and way too different situation to be student and way too young to be expat and to have real conversation about the life we are / I am living. It would be so cool to meet and talk with someone who really knows how it feels to be in the same age gap.

So, if this post reaches anybody out there and you feel sometimes the same way, throw me a message or something.Smile

Otherwise, cheers and enjoy the weekend!

Hi Pepso!

I am in the same situation as you but think you made some friends already :) I saw you last week on the Weekly New Expats in Town Drinks, do you remember?

Well, anyway I am in the same situation as you.. I am 26 almost 27 and I am studying and working part time here. I also came in the beg of 2009. If you want let me know and we can do something

cheers!

Hi you! Yes, I briefly remember you from the bar. I think we never had chance to talk. And thanks for you reply you know. This far this thread have provoked mostly gay people trying to get some male to male action, so your post is kind of relief. :D I have decided to organize something for our age-group in few weeks... This as a kind of early warning for young people to prepare for it. I contact you by message to lay out some particular plans...

Awesome! So we definitely need to form a 25-30's group, a.k.a. YoungGL's or whatsoever :) At least I need to have few beers before my artistic naming machine starts roling...

Saturday nights are full of anticipation, chemistry and magic. Shame on me that I will be away from this Saturday until next Saturday and cannot make it between that timespan. My plan in my mind was kind of having first thingy on Saturday eve 20th February...

I will at least make an event for that Saturday but feel free to have one before hand :)
