Where to have lunch in Geneva?
Hi guys,

I have just moved to Geneva, working quai du seujet and I can barely find a nice place to have a lunch.
I'm sure there is plenty of them but since I don't know Geneva, I would appreciate some recommendations.

THanks a lot

have a look here www.resto-rang.ch , you can look for something around your place, people puts critics and comments on the restaurants, and gives an idea of the price for a meal.

Hi Stef,

so I see you too are struggling to find something 'decent' around where you work.  apart from the few obvious choices next to your office, there are a few places in a square across the foot bridge (next to the former power plant bldg), Hotel Tiffany (rue de l'Arquebuse 20) has a nice restaurant if you want to treat yourself every now and then; La Broche (rue du Stand 36) if you like chicken; and much more along Blvs George Favon towards Planpalais.

enjoy the search :)

Best place in my opinion is the Manor restaurant, which is just a 5 minutes walk away to Quai du Sujet (or at least the beginning of it).

Fresh food made on the spot before you, not expensive, lots of choice.

But as it is very popular, it is also quickly full of people and finding a seat is not easy during rush hours.

From Quai du Sujet, you can also cross the river Rhône on that little pedestrian iron bridge, and this will immediately get you to the Jonction area. Can't think of anything precise, I know that nearby, on Boulevard Saint-Georges, there is a kebab restaurants many find very good. Also many restaurant in that part of town. The Boulangerie des Bains is very good if you wish to get a sandwich.

Good luck exploring :hehe:

Yumeco, I think that my first try will be La Broche ( I love chicken "a la broche" ;-))

By the way....this is a good exercise for you to find something for Thursday

Mimi Crobe --> Thanks, Manor is indeed an EXCELLENT idea (but not very dietetic as I will be tempted to try everything) ;-)
