I am looking to build some birdhouses with my kids, but have no idea where to buy the wood. Is there any place to buy it around Geneva, that is not too expensive?

I believe you can find that in Hornbach.

Also you could try the Do It Migros over at Migros Parc near Carouge. They have loads of wood, specificially for that kind of thing. Loads of tools too if you need them.

You might consider Jumbo in Meyrin. They carry all sorts of wood in all sorts of cuts.
