Hello Jimbo,
Your local pharmacy should have some bicarb. I called mine "Pharmacie du Gros Chène" in Onex and they confirmed.

Thanks a lot guys, very helpful.
My first attempt at baking, at least I
wont have the excuse of not being able to get the right ingredients when it comes out of the
oven looking a bit weird!
