If one is renting a flat,is it an obligation to inform the gérance if a friend moves in? Surely,if the official tenant is paying the rent it makes no difference to the gérance( unless the flat becomes overcrowded)? Anyone know?

My regie said if the stay is under 1-2 months is ok once it's longer they register this person as a collocation. Everything is relative in Swissland however :D
