Hi does anybody know of a rental guarantee insurance company who would accept an L permit holder? I started with my employer in august 2011 and so far Ive had my contract renewed each year.

Jan - contact Swisscaution.ch ~ (then change the language to English) - you pay a yearly "premium" (insurance of about CHF230) but it means that you don't have to pay the whopping 3/4 month deposit - they pay it for you.
It's also useful when you move out as you don't have to worry about waiting the 3/4 months to get your deposit back as the arrangement is between Swiss Caution and the Regie.
