I know that's probably a stupid question. But I have no ice maker and don't feel like buying 100 ice cube trays in order to have a cocktail party. Where does one buy ice around here?

Try some of the gas stations. You will see the ice machine outside if they carry it. They also sell ice at Aligro. The ice machine is after the cash registers.

Check out www.cubitos.ch - they deliver 2kg and 5kg bags of ice (CHF5 and CHF10). Minimum purchase is CHF15.

It might not be very helpful but ... I'm looking to buy an ice machine and have found a guy who seems to be selling two (might be a mistake) I could possibly pick both up (80.- each), interested??

Tom - Coop pronto in Ouchy always has huge bags of ice cubes in their freezer. Maybe even the Coop closer to you?

you can buy a 1kg bag in Manor for a couple of francs, you have to go past the checkouts and they are in the freezers on the far wall at the bottom right (or were last Monday at least)
