In Nyon you can rent boats from: http://www.nyonbateaux.ch/ that seems to be a bit cheaper than in Geneva - there i only found this one in additon to the ones mentioned above http://www.moby-dick.ch/location/moteur-avec-permis/

So far i have always gone to Annecy to rent a boat as it was a lot cheaper but i would be keen on sharing one sometimes on the lake here as i also have a motorboat licencse.

More than 8hp, you need one in Switzerland, and same for more than 6hp in France

I would be interested in a share for a day as well. I am an ex boat owner who doesn't have a swiss license, would like to go out for a day on a real boat!
