American girl, new to Lausanne

Hey,

I just moved to Lausanne from the States. I haven't met many people yet, as I am not a student and I work a lot.

Looking to find some friends who enjoy similar music and want to chill. Also hoping to progress my French (I do speak a bit). Hit me up!

Good morning. I have just moved with my family from Massachusetts (2 months now). If you need some more French the Red Cross (Crois Rouge) offers free lessons ( atleast here in Annemasse, France...20 minutes from Geneva. Also there is a group that meets on Sundays at 5pm at 7 Tabazan st., Geneva. It is a service provided by the Spanish speaking 7th day Adventist church.

So what do you do? I have been looking for work.

Bienvenue et au revoir.

Hey Roberto.

Thanks for the info. I have a pretty good base knowledge of French, I really just need to speak with more people. Are you living in Geneva? I work as an architect in Lausanne.

As far as finding people to speak with, I too am in need of practice...
Good luck Ms. Dani B

Hey Dani,

I just visited Kansas....quite different from Lausanne I venture.

Cafe St Pierre in Lausanne is a good spot. Grown up clientelle, relaxed atmosphere and a good DJ.

Hey Dani !

I'm not new in Lausanne, I'm French and arrived in 2009.

If you want, we can grab a coffee sometime and I can give you some tips to survive in Switzerland :-)

A little late but, welcome. My wife and I moved to Lausanne about a year ago from New Jersey. We like it here a lot. We will be living here for another year then heading back. I am 29 and she is 28. We like to go out on the weekends and do anything outside (drink, hike, hang out etc.) If you ever want to meet up let me know.

Hey Bill,

My wife and I are from the states too.  We don't live near Lausanne but have a travel pass so.  If you and your wife ever want to meet up let me know.

Best,

Mike
