Hey all! Im Leigh, 24 just arrived two weeks ago to work as an au pair in Montherod (about half way between Geneva and Lausanne, a very small village) and would love to meet new people to enjoy this beautiful place with! i have weekends and most evenings and afternoons free so plenty of time for socializing!

Engliah speaking but looking to learn French, but my classes don't begin until later his month!

so just introducing myself and hope to meet you all soon!

Hi Leigh,

Welcome to glocals and Geneva/Lausanne. You have the unique advantage of being able to look at both cities in the "things to do" tab, which means you will never run out of activities to choose from.

I suggest you start by looking through there, join some groups and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. (People are nice and will very often have a reply/solution to your question)

Enjoy what's left of the summer and welcome to Switzerland.

If you want something fun and challenging to do, come out to the Mr. Pickwick Pub Quiz on Monday nights. Lots of nice people, a nice way to let off steam after a Monday back at work/class.
