Hello from Geneva !!!

Hello !

My name is Stéphanie and I live in Geneva. I am working at UBS as an advisor.

I have always lived in Switzerland but before, I was leaving in Lausanne. I have decided to move in Geneva for my boyfriend :-).

But I have noticed than it is very difficult in Geneva to meet some new people... Even if you are social... So that is why I decided to register on this website... Hopefully I will meet some new people ! I would love to help you if you need any advice about Switzerland !!!

I am a specialist about the thermal bath ahah. So if you want to know where are the best places for that, let me know !!!

I am also looking for some people who wants to practice a regular sport, running or who have an aim !

Hope to meet you soon :-)

Stéphanie

Ahah Hello Rebz !!

So, there are a lot of thermal bath center in Switzerland, depending of what you want or need !

If you do not want to do too far away, the best one is in Lavey les Bains ! I just love it !!! You have a lot of different things to enjoy there ! The price is betwen 40 and 50CHF Then its depend if you go by car or train...(car is the best.... Train is a bit complicate).

Yverdon les Bains is very small so I do not like it very much(it is my opinion...)

Saillon is also very small !!!

My favourite one is at BERN... It is called : Bernaqua(have a look on google !) IT is situated in the Westside center of Bern(this is the biggest shopping center in Switzerland if I am not wrong and remember correctly... ) Anyway, you have lots of different activities and bath inside, that is just amazing and great !!!

The price depends of what you want, you have a "package" with differents room where you go and enjoy cold water, hot water, massage, sensations, smelling, etc... It is called something like "irish"bath...

If you want skiing and enjoy bath... the best place in Winter is Ovronnaz ! That is fantastic, you can rent a studio there, practice skiing the day, and finish with hot thermal bath with bubbles !! (lol sorry my english is not perfect ;-)).... Anyway that is a fantastic place as well ! It is also around the mountains... Amazing views... Great !

Then if you have some children, the best is Aquaparc in the Bouveret(Valais) or Alpamare in Zurich. Both of them are fantastic ! You have lots of slides and also thermal bath for parents...

I have not tried yet all the thermal bath but for all the ones I have tried, you have my opinion here ;-)

If you try another one let me know :-p

Hi Steph,

I am new as well in glocals likewise in Geneva. I am looking for friends who could help me with my French and I could help you with your English if you want, though you are good enough Smile.

I am also interested in doing some sports.

Hi Darlene !!

With pleasure for practicing !! I would love it !! My English is no good enough for me;-) I would like to be able to use some words more complicate, more idioms as well... But there is only one way to learn these words... Speaking/writting in English with some native from England, USA or Australia... ;-)

Which sports do you would like to do ?

I would like to run, jog or even brisk walk for a regular basis. I also got a bike, so, cycling is an option as well. Fitness is acceptable.

I could do it alone but that would be boring and would limit my chances of meeting new friends.
