Hiking, traveling, or a game of pool...
Hello,

I've been in Lausanne for a few months now, but still find it difficult to meet people outside of work. So hopefully this will work! :)

I'm interested in meeting people to go hiking with (have already done some wonderful snowshoeing trips over the past few months) and to explore a bit more of Switzerland, or just to play a game of pool in a local pub (have been to the Taco Bar and Snap so far...).

Looking forward to making some more friends and sharing the Swiss experience :P

Best,

Wim

Hi,

Uhmmm, I actually like uphills! How else do you ever get to the top of the mountain?? ;)

OK, I know this is Switzerland, and you can take the train right up to (near) the top, but still... it feels better if you've worked for it!

Anyway, lots of "easier" hiking as well. Around the lake, or in the Jura (not very steep, but pretty anyway). Maybe once I get a bit more familiar with this whole glocals thing, I'll try to organize something.

Cheers!

Hi Wim,

I would love to be able to cycle up a mountain but my heart would fail! I will stick to doing what I know I can achieve. Cycling is a great way to see the local areas...did lots around basel now to get mine out of storage.

Cheers

You folks are nice and centrally located close to the swiss mountains and close to Geneva.. and there are loads of Lausanners on here that go out all the time, including bowlings, hiking, skinny dipping :w00t:, monthly drink gatherings  ... list is endless.  If you post something, people will come!   and don't be afraind to come out to Geneva for the Spring party!!

Hi Wim,

I am keen hiker as well.  Although I am not a fast hiker, I would like to join a small group one Sat or Sun.  Perhaps we can organise something?

regards,

Meilleko
