Hello! I just arrived in Lausanne this fall and am working on a PhD at EPFL but half time in Burkina Faso. I am from the US but have spent many of the last 5 years in West Africa. I am looking for kindred spirits near Lausanne who like to explore the countryside and mountains on the weekend or perhaps catch a play, concert, or movie from time to time. I am slightly averse to planning far ahead and tend to prefer spontaneity in my social life. I like mixing cultures, languages and adventures of all kinds.



On another note, I am looking for advice on getting my Beninese fiancé a visa to Switzerland. He is hoping to continue his studies in wildlife management or animal ecology and is looking for any opportunities to get his foot in the door here. Does anyone have advice on getting visas for African nationals or jobs for non-permit-B holding partners? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
