New Persian/Swiss girl in Geneva :o)

Hi everyone,

Well, lets introduce myself.. born in Iran, lived in Iran, Switzerland, Afghanistan, Sudan, Burundi and Ethiopia. Now, back to Sweetzerland, I hope to find a flat and new and interesting friends (of both sex!). I love dancing (salsa), cooking, having interesting and open discussions, traveling (although tired and do not want to travel for a little while!), laughing, dining and wining, etc..  Am an energic, open and cosmopolitan girl and always had a nice and big social life and hope to have it here too...

Will start working for the ICRC in Geneva and am looking to rent an unfurnished flat in rive droite from February 2009 so please help if you can. I would love to settle down here as I moved too much the last years and dream to be able to put my nice souvenirs such as afghan carpets or Nepalese painting on a wall, without being obliged to take them away a couple of months later!!! Also, I miss good cheese and good food! You see what I mean? ;)

Bref, glad to be there! :D I am looking forward to be invited to events and so.

See you! Golareh :)

P.S. would love to have persian or spanish speaking friends too...

Yo girl...

Welcome back to Cheeseland!

To start with, I would like to invite you to Zurich for our 1500 members party...

As far as your apartment is concerned, I believe to find the "right" one, you have to keep your eyes, ears and everything else open and grab the opportunity (if there is any!) when it comes :P

Hi there cosmopolitan,

The more down-town or around the organisations your looking, the more difficult and expensive it will get to find a nice flat. Have you decided to have a car or not - it will decide the size of your search area. Without a car you can look as far as into the Ferney-Voltaire area (France) also - is served by the Geneva bus network. Or along the Swiss local railway network - there is a new local train station just below the UN complex.

Also, check for ads on the posting-boards at the different International Organisations around the Red Cross.

I see that we have overlapping country experience - it will be nice to have a chat with you at a party some time!
