New to Switzerland and French Lessons needed1

Hi!  My husband and I just moved to Switzerland from our last Expat assignment in Macau.  I am in need of French Lessons, just above beginers.  WE are temporarily living in Bursinel, until our Permit B comes through, then will be moving toe the Lausanne-Montreux area.  So, I would greatly appreciate recommendations on French lessons somewhere around Rolle/Gland/Nyon.  Then once we move I will ge looking for social groups to practice with.  Many thanks, in advance, for any referrals!

Hi Barbara,

Welcome!

International Women's Club Nyon is a non-profit organisation for English-speaking women residing in Nyon and the surrounding region. Its purpose is to promote friendly contacts among women of all nationalities through multiple activities and to help facilitate the integration of newcomers (different languages, walking tours, cycling, dog walking, hiking, bridge, readers club, art classes etc). You can check the website www.iwcn.ch They have many activities for women and they were a great help to me when I moved to Nyon less than 2 years ago. My integrations is going smoother.

IWCN organises French classes for begginers and imrpovers and classes are held by volunteers - all lovely ladies.

Maybe you can think about something like that.

As the Poster is from Switzerland - actually from Geneva, which one can always check, then it is more than likely she does not wish to learn French, but as her post says, German.

Ladies, we have two posters here, right. One lady needs French and the second Greman and everybody here wanted only to help!

IWCN, if member, has both (and other) languages). This is not comercial as there is no fee. Good luck to both ladies!
