I am and english speaking mother of a 3year old boy.
Background: His Dad speaks to him in French, and we speak to each other in french as well. Though I speak to my Son in english always, I would like him to be more exposed to the language.
And I think the best way to achieve that would be to have him mix/play with other english speaking children his age.
I have seen some posts on the subject, but mostly mothers seem to be planning play dates for the week days (I wish i could do that too...)
I work all week, and I was thinking that if any of you like me only really have saturdays or sundays free, you might enjoy meeting up for some form of playdate.
I figure 3 birds, 1 stone! My son gets to speak and learn more english, he gets out and plays and sees other kids (he's and only child so also great), and I get to meat up with some other mothers! working full time hasn't really left me much time to socialize with other Mums.
Anyway, to cut a very long post short ;) contact me if you have any interest at all in meeting up. There are some lovely playgrounds around Rolle, or Nyon... "beaches" swimming pool, football pitches for playing, picknicks etc. especially with the summer on it's way.
