My wife and I have been in Valais for over a year, but I've only just found this site!
As my wife isn't working, and as Martigny isn't exactly the most English-speaker-friendly town in the world, I was wondering if any of you are in the Martigny area? Even Monthey, Sion, Montreux, etc? Even if you're in Lausanne that's not too far away :)

I have two friends ( a couple) in Martigny and they speak English very well. I know my friend is taking exams and busy at the moment but maybe in March :)

I'm afraid I live in the Basel area. A bit far I know but if u are into communicating In english, I'll be happy to do so. My hubby's Swiss and speaks English fluently too and perhaps whenever u r in the Basel area u can call in on us. We are huge Aussies fan by the way. Got married there 18 years ago.

An official welcome to my new Ozzie neighbours. I actually live in Mayens de Saxon which is just 10 minutes away from Martigny. Been living in this gorgeous region for 6 years with my Swiss husband. Send me a message - we would be happy to welcome you to our mountain paradise for a BBQ - I have trained my husband on Ozzie BBQ etiquet so you will be in good company.
