Hey people, any people from the USA here? lets talk :))
Hi Michelle
How are you? getting adjusted to Switzerland? It's a bit grey in winter. I know this may not be your thing, and you may not be able to take time off the following Monday, but I am organizing a group to watch the Superbowl next Sunday at Darling (it starts at about 11 pm). I think it will be THE way to meet Americans in Lausanne, and you are more than welcome.
Take care
Liz

I've never encountered any other Americans while I have been here. I was told there would be many but it's nice to know you guys are out there haha :D

Touché answer but don't you think it's a little ironic that you are bad mouthing America yet you use a famous American movie title. You know, James Dean..

I used to live in Vevey, I found there to be quite a few Americans if you hang out at the Nestle hot spots... The National, Charlies

Maybe if you were showing your age in your profile...
In Vevey, the Americans are primarily professionals. You can find teenagers at starbucks at 15:00. Meeting people your own age, you are going to have to hang out at the Epsilon unfortunately. Or venture down to Montreux to the Black Pearl.

Epsilon is the only nightclub in Vevey. I used to live on Rue De La Madeleine which is right along starbucks, its FILLED with American teenagers when school lets out. http://www.epsylon-club.ch/ its a block or two down from the Post on the main road. The beauty of Vevey is walking distance home

If you are in my old building, its beautiful. The one directly facing the park on one side, and the lake on the other. Floor to ceiling windows along the entire kitchen and living room. Its new, ive been in some of the other buildings and they are all cute, but older. The location in Vevey is great, and of all the cities ive lived in (Vevey, Lausanne, Nyon, Geneva, and Versoix) Vevey was definately my favorite, it just takes some getting used to. Make yourself a regular at a bar and you'll have friends in no time. Based on your location id recommend the Hotel Asta bar or the Sunset

Oh the other side of vevey is bad news. Oh the place right next to train station is (was) always full of young people. I was 25 when I lived in Vevey, and it was too young of a hangout for me.
