The real-estate market here is real tight. A few key suggestions:

1. Be ready for a long search, and to compromise on what you find.

2. Start the search early.

3. When you see a place you like, apply immediatly. Tens of people apply for every available apt, so if you want more than a day, the place is gone.

4. Make your application stand out from the rest by having references from your work or from anyone else with weight.
