to be ot not to be

"to be or not to be" in Geneva

That was the main question before making my decision to live in Geneva. Some people were saying it is the most boring city ever some claiming the quite opposite..

well I am really new to here..

what do you think? or should I wait the winter:)

The old cliché...  People who say that anywhere in 'CH is boring', makes me wonder, what did they do before coming here that made their lives SO exciting?

CH is the best place to live in the world(!!!), live to the full, bring up children and I (for one) don't find it boring at all.  It's what you make of it!  :o)  JT.

Swiss is a wonderful place to live. Tends to have good weather in September, this year even a part of October. During spring and summer there is a lot to do in Geneva , whole Swiss. But if you are not a skiier , like me it can be boring during the winter. Also , Geneva tends to be very small socially wise , within a few years you know nearly everyone.. not too many places to go clubbing etc.

And in my opinion Geneva is mostly a place to raise your children , good international schools , nearby the best boardingschools.

So I would say ''2BE'' here a few years , with some long ''holiday'' breaks / weekends ,then move and come back when you are settled.

To the ones saying that Switzerland is boring:

"I'm sorry, but... I believe that it's YOU who is boring."

Just try to follow even half of the glocals events!

Ok. I don't live in Geneva, but in Zurich. Still, I agree 100% with Julian and Jonatan. Switzerland is a GREAT place to live and NEVER boring, you just have to get up and see for yourself.

Enjoy and welcome!

Geneva boring....? Quays, lakeside promenades, parks, elegant stores, lively streets and alleyways in the old part of town are waiting for you to be discovered. Boat trips on the lake and the Rhone River. The Alps seem close enough to touch... and besides that all the glocal activities... never mind!
