Outstanding effort Nir! How many non-Glocals do you think turned up? Any concerns over "open invite" proved unfounded. Daniel

3 questions were raised, and here are the answers:
1. Redsun08 asked:
"How many non-Glocals do you think turned up? Any concerns over 'open invite' proved unfounded. Daniel"
I estimate around 20% of folks on the beach would not be allowed into our 'regular' Sindy/glocals parties due to age. I'm probably over-sensetive to this, but it killed me last night when I saw groups of 18 year-olds wearing lots of gold +tatoos and trying to act tough with their cigarettes and looks. Still, with the vast majority of folks on the beach being 25+, it was cool.
2. Megs asked:
"Are those pics really going to be put up by tomorrow?"
I swear Megs, tomorrow (Monday) they're up!
3. Villarsvilla asked:
"so, ah, what was different from the past years' Vengeron (non-glocals) parties?"
There were Aug1 parties on Vengeron every Aug1 for the past 12 years. But we (glocals/Sindy) were not involved in any of them until this year. So I can only answer based on what I heard from our party producers - who were involved with Vengeron's parties in the last years.
They said this year's party was very different mainly on 4 points:
Party promoted only on Sindy/glocals. In previous year's, Aug1 party was promoted in mass media (OneFM, public flyers, etc). This year, it was promoted only on Sindy/glocals. No mass media (except this free PR on 20 Min...(-: Higher age group. Last years, the average age they said was around 20. This year, around 30. No fights. Last years, they had crowd fights nearly every time. This year, 0. Far fewer fainted-drunks. Last years, probably due to the age thing, they had a serious issues with folks nearly passing out from drinking too much. This year, we had just 1 such case (and yea, with someone who's 19...(-;

1 question, few comments and 1 feedback :)
1 question, what was up with the bonfire? IMHO it was lit way too early and then it had to be put off in order to let people see the fireworks in Geneva ... (or did I get this totally wrong and that was the original idea????)
Few comments: nice location, nice crowd as usual, awful queue at the toilet to be expected :) and same for parking. All in all the atmoshpere was really nice, I had lots of fun and even the bar service was quite good!
1 feedback (personal I admit), what kind of security company was hired for this event?? And was it a glocals choice or imposed by the canton? I am asking while 1 of their employee was awfully rude and openly insulting to me while I was trying to look for a parking spot. He was stuck in the car behind me and was shouting insults in italian ... mmmm ... too bad I actually understand the language i think .... No harm done in the end as I just insulted him back, but very unprofessional and offensive behaviour!!!
Looking forward the next party!!

Thanks for the feedback.
The bonfire was lit up around 22h45, and we had to let it die after an hour or so for security reasons.
That's serious stuff with the security. We used the security company that does most of Geneva's formal big events (incl the Euro 2008 etc), and they were supposed to be pros. Will call you to get more info on the incident you describe.

Nir.... Would that go into activities, events, where/how or the exchange part?????
It's not an activity..... aslo not an event..... where/how is also not applicable because you already know where to go to and how; your only looking for a "somebody"........ exchange topic then??? What do you think tinkie has to exchange for the ride??? :P

Tinks: Think well before you answer, cos this will determine if you can any more lift offers in the future!
