Thank you to all the Aussies and friends of Aussies who came along to the Australia Day Party. It was a really great night, with I reckon a good 60 people or so braving the icy winds to have a relaxed drink at the pub.
The fundraising raffle (for Haiti) raised over 450chf, which is a stirling effort, and I would like to thank all the lovely people who donated goodies for the prize hampers. From fancy bottles of wine to a simple but much appreciated jar of golden syrup, you showed your generous spirit and I think that this is a true reflection of what Australia Day should be about - the coming together of a caring community.
