GOL in Zurich....and the windscreen wipers are automatic!

It was wonderful to see Jill and Sherri in Zurich this weekend. Many thanks to Jill and her friends for arranging a great bar tour on Saturday night. The girls were disappointed that the limo to take us around the city was "only" an S-Class Mercedes....apparently size does matter to American girls and they were expecting something bigger! However our delightful Swiss chauffeur made up for this by showing us that his windscreen wipers were automatic and the girls were SO impressed! We had a fantastic evening and thanks so much to the girls for inviting me out. Although I must warn the GOL crowd to be very careful when they speak to Sherri. I am not sure what I said to her at the bar but she turned round and punched me so hard that my glass of champagne was sent flying and my shoulder was in agony for the rest of the evening! However I also have to point out that after beating me up she then invited me to join her and Jill for a threesome at the Inter-Continental Hotel....such a nice way to say sorry and therefore I forgive her everything! First, I said nothing about the limo service, so the 'size matters to American girls' comment should not apply to me...
Second, I did not punch you, I merely reached back and slapped you...But you, Phil are the one who put your glass of champagne between my hand and your arm. And as for the actual punch later in the evening, you DESERVED it. It's true though, I rarely let a guy mess with me and get away with it...if there within hitting range. Maybe I should've been a boxer like Iolly. (:

This being my first visit to Zh, I really enjoyed myself. (beside not speaking a word of German) The nightlife was very different to GE, and it was definitely a great time. We will plan another visit to Zh soon, and bring a decent size crowd with us too!!!

Its alright, even had you understood German you probably still wouldn t have understoiod them anyway. Those bloody swiss Germans are incomprehensible!!!!

I obviously, have a great love for the city of Zurich and am very compfortable there and with the people. It was SO NICE to have Phil and Sherri along for the bar crawl, it was a fun event. That guy playing at the first place was AMAZING, and the food was great at the last place we made it to!
I do have to point out, Phil, that it was the Danish girl with us who was impressed by the windsheild wipers!! :D I was greatly unimpressed!
Oh well, the limo service sucked, but at least we didn't have to walk! We need more people to come to Zurich soon, the night life really deserves to be sampled up there...you want posh bars, they have them, you want hole-in-the-wall bars, there are PLEANTY of those too!
So next time, more of you should come along!!

Ok guys, it is time for me to be serious for a moment. The recent postings between Sherri and I have all been meant in the very best of spirit. The fact is Sherri, Jill, myself and 4 other friends had an absolutely fantastic time in Zurich. We were all out together until 4 a.m. and by that time we had all enjoyed many hysterically funny conversations. As a result our postings do refer to many harmless "inside jokes". Whilst these things are funny to us and to the GOL members who know us well, we want to make sure that the things we have said are not taken out of context. It goes without saying that Sherri did not intentionally hit me, everything to do with the limo service was wonderful, and obviously there was never even a suggestion of a threesome! We can joke about these things because over the course of the evening Jill, Sherri and I became good friends and it was entirely thanks to their sparkling personalities that I had one of the most enjoyable nights out ever. So, I was flattered to receive such caring e-mails from GOL members asking if they can help "patch things up" between Sherri and me, but really guys everything is fine and I very much look forward to seeing everyone at the next event!!! that speaking to Swiss German your German German will have same effect as speaking to wall. But of course, you can still read signs (and papers, if you find some..).
