My only thought was that at some point it was so packed, that it was hard to move around and talk. Maybe given the demand, move the drinks to a weekly base?

Good party, it was my first one in a while and I enjoyed myself. Of course the fact that I am not exactly new to the event helps :) It was good to see Nir step down from his pedestal and migle too :D

Nir, I think the problem was not the space but that everybody was hanging in the bar area while the rest of the room was empty. If you can find a way to switch the focus to the other side of the room - like a smaller bar near the summer door for wine and bottled bier, which don't need much logistics - this should do it. A DJ like they have in other nights would also help - some of the people will go dancing.

It's nice that you welcomed everybody at the door, but later on after most peole have arrived maybe you could move across the room and help people connect. Put yourself in their shoes, it's not so easy if it's your first time and you don't know anybody.

Fantastic event, enjoy it each time, but as someone said, you have that 'corridor' to contend with, just beyond the entry point, not sure how that can be addressed unless you change the venue but then you're not sure of turnout. Thanks for all the work putting it together. Best/Bailey

Yes, it was very crowded but this is a result of its success.  I suggest that we reserve some, if not all, tables in the bar area so we gain more room and people can sit.

Also, moving the event to a weekly basis would be nice.

I strongly reject instead the idea of a DJ, which is not appropriate.

Thank you for a very nice evening.  I attended the NMD to see a friend that is leaving Geneva this Saturday, and I am really glad I did.  It was an excellent opportunity to re-connect with some fun veterans while meeting new friendly faces.

It was also nice to see your warm welcoming smile, which, I believe set a tone of warmth and congeniality.  Everyone was laid back and fun to talk to.

As for the DJ, I would have to agree with Omega Man.  I think the atmosphere is great the way it is.  Of course, the rest of us could make the effort not to cram around the bar. (Although, that seems to be the most popular spot)

But, for some good music and dancing with fellow glocalers, one can continue the spirit of fun at Psycho, which offers a friendly atmosphere and terrific music.  Nir welcomes you at the door and makes you feel like part of a family.

Conclusion:  NMD; fun night, great hostess!
