ZH - Free Hugs Campaign

PICTURES FROM FREE-HUGS DAY


 


What an awesome Sunday we had...hugging people and making them smile!!


We were 12 people who decided to spend their Sunday afternoon hugging strangers and making them smile and brightening up their gray Sunday!


The most amazing thing I saw yesterday was when an alcoholic (those who are brunk 24*7) walked towards us (of course with a can of beer). He was drunk and in his own world and his eyes were not in place Tongue out


After getting hugged by ALL of us, he was happy, he had a smile on his face and he stayed with us for 2 hours (without his beer!!!) and was very happy and jumping when we hugged somebody who passed by!


This also brightened up our day, we were smiling for no reasons and we all went to bed feeling good...

Wow! It really works :D


At first I thought that I cant do this, how am I going to hug a total stranger on the street? Well I had my doubts but they were all gone after the first hug... it was so fantastic feeling to see that strangers face turn from that rainy frown to a sunny smile :) Such a warm feeling - I have done something to make someone feel better.


My best hug was with an old lady who asked me what are we doing here with those cardboards in the middle of the street. So i explained to her in my poor German that this is a free hug campaign to make people smile and share the happiness and i asked would she like to get a free hug from me? And then her face lit up and she hugged me so tight and thanked me (and us all) for doing this and for bringing more joy to this cloudy Sunday. It was so moving...


And of course there were people, who obviously had seen similar things in other places... those crazy people running from across the street with a big smile on their faces to hug some of us :D That was such fun :D


I do NOT care that maybe some people thought we were crazy, all that matters is that we had a chance to make some people smile and feel better :)

Yes Nir, this was really sweet, i do admit that i am sometimes emotional, but that really moved me :D  and she was not the only one who thanked us for doing this
