Advice needed, please - a whole day spent on the train

Hi guys, I´d like to ask you for your advice, opinion or tips.
I´ve bought this CFF day card from Migros and I thought that I´d use it for, let´s say, a train tour or a circuit within the whole day.
Meaning that I´d spend the whole day on trains, just changing at various stations and heading for certain destinations which could guarantee me some great views along the way. You may probably say that I should have gone for the panoramic trains option, but I thought that there might be also some chances with the "regular" trains, right? But I may be mistaken, that´s why I wished to know from people who might have travelled a bit more within the country!
I wish to go at the weekend, as during the work day I could set off at 9 at the earliest, the weekends are unlimited and I´d probably start from Nyon. I´ve already got a couple of suggestions to take the following "routes": 1. Nyon - Mountrex - Gstaad - Zweisimmen - Spiez - Interlaken - Burenig - Luzern, 2. Nyon - Brig - Furka - Oberalp - Disentis - Chur.
I´d appreciate any advice or ideas. Also, in case someone is interested in joining this crazy train trip, let me know. The sale of the card is finishing tomorrow though - Mon 10. 9. 2012.
Thanks a lot, Lucie.

Option 1 is the best

Alternatively yoiu just choose a destination eg Lucerne, get there as quick as you can and spend the day there

Beware we found out on one of my outings that the card is not valid for the bus from Meiringen to Rosenlaui and it was a post bus

Do not know why
