William, my partner and I have been to Thailand and also planned a month long trip there. we found that 'trip advisor ' was a useful resource as the reviews were pretty genuine. You will need to download a map of thailand and really decide where you want to go, we went to Bangkok, Ko chang, phucket, crabi and phi phi island the first time and the 2nd trip was planned for chang mai and areas around there.( white water rafting, elephant farm, cooking classes ).
One tip is to book all internal flights before you go, there is a pass that you can only obtain when you are outside Thailand, this will allow you to travel on internal flights for as little as £15.
You will thoroughly enjoy the thailand experience, its awesome
