We're planning a weekend getaway to Florence on the weekend of the 17th September. We'll be driving and will probably leave Geneva on the Friday afternoon and return on the Sunday afternoon (arriving back in Geneva that evening). We have three spaces in the car (although given the long drive, two may be more comfortable) and the costs would be split equally between renting the car and petrol (we can give an estimation beforehand, but judging by the train fares on the CFF site it looks to be about 1/3 cheeper as we're part of a car sharing scheme). If anyone is interested, just let me know, I'm of course happy to pick up/drop off anywhere along the route. I also hear Pisa is not too far away (circa 30mins drive, but that's what a colleague told me, I haven't actually checked yet) so I'd be happy to do a drop off there. If anyone fancys a sneeky weekend away before the weather turns bad and wants to car share, just let me know!
