Basel, Colmar, Strasbourg

Hi there,

I would like to visit all three cities. Since I'd have to change trains in Basel to get to Colmar or Strasbourg from Geneva anyway, I was wondering if it'd be realistic to do all three in one weekend? I'd separate them, but I am counting down the days I'm still in Switzerland....

Whatever you do Alice

take time to explore the magnificent Isenheim museum in Colmar with the Groenewald poliptych. Basel also has an enormous amount to offer so your best bet would be to go perhaps for a long - 3 day weekend? Less expensive to overnight in F rather than CH. Bon voyage!

I visited Fondation Beyeler in Riehen yesterday exhibiting the work of Louise Bourgeois which was breathtaking indeed, mind you I was in a very beautiful company!

Normally, you can do Colmar and Strasbourg with one shot. In Stras I suggest taking the boat trip, takes thru the city. Good places to hang out are Artichaut and L'epicerie. On the way to/From Stras worth a visit are Mount St Odile and Mont des Singes.
