I was looking at the same weekend for trips, flights are all costly, but I did find flights to Egypt round trip are around 700, so its cheap, quick but it might be too big a touristy for your tastes.  But keep it in mind as if you have NATO seen the pyramids yet its something well worth seeing.

Nice is nice but looks like flight tickets are quite expensive for that long weekend. It is quite tiring to drive down for 5 hours as well. Egypt would have been lovely but there is no enough time, 3 nights and 4 days... There are so many places to go but I am running out of ideas...

290.- CHF. Booked tonight. I think this is quite cheap. Otherwise you really have to book months ago. And then it will be around 140 I think.



Other suggestions are Lyon, Beaune and Carcasonne in France. Alba, Asti and Torino in Italy. Most of them by car.
