Going with my 19 years old son: where can I bring him?
there are hundreds to pick from, but if weather is good this would be one suggestion-

There are plenty to choose from like G__ says. I recommend this one though as it has a Michelin Star and you can get a 4 course meal for £25 with another £20 for a wine flight. Less than £50 including drinks for this type of restaurant is a bargain. Also a chance to celebrity spot!

These are better for a 19 year old (my daughter is 18) in my view but you would need to book:
Hakkasan
Nobu
Novikov
STK

Yep,
Nobu, if you like Japanese cuisine is a very nice place to be and eat, view on Hyde Park.
the Roof Garden is also a cool place in Bayswater.
if you like Thai cuisine, the Blue Elephant is super cool and good cuisine in Fulham. on Sundays, they offer brunch!

www.squaremeal.co.uk - it's the only website you need for London eating.
You can filter by area, by type of restaurant, by price etc etc and their reviews are 100% reliable. I used to use them for corporate dining all the time (25 years working in London!) and their recommendations never let me down.
Enjoy - wherever you go - you'll love the prices (compared with CH!).

They must know each other: tja'ts the place he suggested me!
Gauchos steakhouse is great. Near Piccadilly but I believe they have more than one location.

"Bull and Last", the menu is typically meaty, featuring great slabs of local beef and venison cooked with skill.

Few weeks ago, i had a dinner in "Asakusa Restaurant" japanese restaurant. It was very good experience, the food was amazing, the service was superb and the "sushi" was delicious. I would go there again just to eat "Sushi".
Address: 265 Eversholt Street, London NW1 1BA

Circus.
It's a restaurant and a show. All in one.
What do you mean by trendy restaurant?
What are you looking for? Indian food, chinese, international....??
And because London is quite big...any area preference?
