Wanted: Travel buddies- budget style lol

Hi everyone,


(I know there's been other similar threads so sorry I'm doubling up.) I'm here for the next two months and want to travel on the weekends. Saturday day trips preferrably, possibly overnight. I'm a poor college student who needs to travel budget-style haha so if you're into luxurious hotels and such, I am not your travel buddy, but those into budget-style travel, count me in. I'll go anywhere haha.


I was thinking, Milan, Paris, Bern, Basel, Zurich, and any smaller villiages. Actually it doesn't really matter. I love travelling. Let me know if you're interested! Thanks!=)

i too love travelling to places....   i am always ready to travel but most probably on saturdays as i am busy on sunday playing cricket in switzerland. That too includes travelling all over the places in switzerland...


i would like to travel. so let me know if u have any plan in mind.

I am in the same situation, just arrived to Geneva and I would love to visit all around Switzerland. So count with me as travel buddy.

Seems like day trips are the favorite, and for me as well. Is anyone crazy enough to do Milan in a day with me? It is 8 hrs round trip I heard, so it would be a long day, but I heard plausible.


Or Annecy, Lyon are much closer in France.

I'm going to do a Saturday day trip to Milan taking the 5:45am train and back to Geneva before midnight. Let me know if anyone would like to join in the adventure!

SWEEEETness. im gonna go to the train station today to find out what the cheapest option will be to get to milan and ill let u know. meanwhile, start researching milan cuz i have no idea what im in for haha


also let me know if anyone is in for bern or zermatt (hiking) this sat or next

I am also interested in joining the trip. I think the way to go is EUROCITY Train (EC) that gos to Milano and Venice. I haven't been to Milan but maybe it could be a good idea to try to look for some bed & breakfast so we can enjoy nearly 2 full days.


Another option I have just discovered is TESIN (border Switzerland - Italy). North of Italy there are fantastic places, with beaches (lake, rivers) and amazing scenery. Transport is always CFF so the AG works (cero expenses for transportation). I think the best for this is also stying overnight (from Sat to Sun).


I will be looking forward to seeing how this develops... would be nice to discover Milan.

Hey I just bought my tickets today for Sunday Aug 15th (cuz it was cheaper than Saturday). I'm definitely going, alone or with company, though company would make the trip more fun! Please message me if you want to go on this date for sure and we can start having fun discussing the details!=)


Also, note that it is a Sunday so while other things like Museums and restaurants are open, most shops are not- so if you want to go to Milan to go shopping (which is a perfectly valid reason), this isn't for you!
