for those of you guys that might have _lived_ in both France and Suisse Romande :

Assuming one should spend his or next 25 years over there, what country would you think it might be best to be in ?

France..... there are many aspects, and many reasons why - not the least the cost of living! Here vegetables which are 1 Euro in Lidl cost four times as much in Migros/Co-Op. Not only that, but the cost of Health Insurance in CH is astronomical. So the salaries are better in Switzerland and the taxes are lower but there is not so much freedom to do exactly as you wish in CH as there is in France. Just MY opinion, as we have the best of both worlds, living as we do within 14 kms of St. Gingolph and 45 kms of Geneva. On the negative side, we always buy our bread in CH as this is of a higher quality and standard but that is basically all [except for bargains on Ricardo of course]!!!! Cheers/good day.
