How to buy a used car in Zürich
Dear all

I would like to bye or lease a car for my stay in Sitzerland for 1,5 years.

I know nothing about cars, but ould like to have a used one for ex. audi TT.

Does anybody know where is best to by: internet, garage or...and how the proces goes:like first by a parking place and then look for a car orvice versa.?

I would appreciale some advice on the car matter,so if any of you have experience with bying/leasing a used car....I would be very happy to hear from your.

/Kristina

Does the flat you rent also offer parking (underground)?

If so, and if you can rent one, you've solved that problem.

You will need to swap in your driving-license to a Swiss one.

If not now, you need to after 1 year or you have to redo the whole license from the beginning.

I guess yours is from Denmark, so it should just be an administrative act.

What do you want to do with the car?

If it's only for short-trips, you may be better of using car-sharing (www.mobility.ch), depending on where you live and if you have a place to park the car.

Cost for parking adds up - usually, 120 CHF upwards per month.

I think there are other threads about buying, importing a car.

And there's also this thread about insurances:

There are various sites for buying used cars:

www.ricardo.ch

www.car4you.ch

www.autoscout24.ch

Are there any leasing-experts around here?

I always thought this is only useful for businesses who want to minimize taxes without buying the car on credit.
