I chose this dentist because her office is close to my place, I found a good review online and also read that she speaks German. No idea if the latter is true, since so far we got along in French and a bit of English. But with English she seems to be quite comfortable.
So, I have been there twice so far - once for an exam and cleaning, and then to get a little cavity fixed. Until now I am quite satisfied.
The office is clean, friendly and as far as I can tell well-equipped. Both Dr. Bentakouk and her staff are very friendly.
The exam and cleaning were done thoroughly by Dr. Bentakouk, and I got a second appointment to get a filling. Also this one was done very thoroughly and so far I have no complaints.
Getting an appointment is quite easy, I had to wait for less than 2 weeks - however I had to call twice since the first time the receptionist didn't have the scheduleat hand. She was very friendly though and apologized several times.
Prices are pretty high, but I do not have a comparison to other Swiss dentists, so I assume that's standard. She is listed on the SSO website also.
Overall I feel that I am in good hands there. I will update my review if I have anything to add in the future.
UPDATE: One year late it was time again for a check-up and cleaning. Getting an appointment was again easy, though the wait was a little longer this time. Still less than a month, so that's fine.
However the visit itself turned out somewhat strange:
- Mrs. Bentakouk started by asking what I am coming for - umm, after a year?! Guess what!
- I had the impression she checked my teeth veeeery superficially, so I am not quite reassured now I don't have any cavities.
- She did not do the x-ray that one year ago she had said we should absolutely do this time.
- The cleaning went OK, but at the end she forgot to floss, so I ended up having plenty of crap stuck between my teeth.
- I wanted to pay immediately as I am moving soon and try to have things settled. However they no longer accept PostFinance cards (they did one year ago!).
- The whole thing took about 30min and I was charged almost 250 CHF.
I can no longer recommend this place :-(
