The hike


From Sunegga (2288 masl) we go over Breitboden to Gornergrat, which offers fantabulous view on glaciers and world-famous mountains. On our paht we see 5 mountain lakes. The path to the Gornergrat is in peaceful backland (3090 masl) and it should be quite quiete there. At Gornergrat we stop for a drink. Then we go down to Riffelalp by enjoying the view on the mountains (2582 masl).

This hikes offers at good weather conditions a unique view on glaciers and many 4000 masl high mountain peaks.


The hike will be done toeghter with a meetup group, at which already 7 hikers signed up.


Features of hike:
- view on a world famous mountain scenery of peaks of more 4000 masl (as Matterhorn, Breithorn, Monte Rosa)
- 5 mountain lakes (Leisee, Mosjesee, Grüensee, Gornergratsee, Riffelsee)
- mountain path from Sunegga to Gornergrat is in the backyard of Gornergrat and it should be therefore relative quite, possible to see mountain goats
