Mr. Pickwick Pub Quiz - 2015 - Week 14
Monday, April 20th, 2015 @ 20:00
Mr. Pickwick, 80 rue de Lausanne, downstairs...., Geneva
Are you a know-it-all? Or do you at least *think* you are? Or do you even just like to have a good time with a challenge and a drink to let off steam after work?
Then, on your mark, get set, QUIZ!
=============
THIS WEEK'S HINT(S): "As for Einstein, some of that and a little bit of the Wild wild west for the 20th o' April"....so, Einstein and Wild Wild West.
=============
The Monday night Pub Quiz at Mr. Pickwick is a mainstay of the weekly Things To Do in Geneva. It's been going for many years and it's really challenging, but really fun!
Ten rounds of ten questions each on a variety of topics like: sports, history, music, geography, film, UN, literature, entertainment, astronomy, astrology, fashion, perfumes, capitals, flags of the World, Airports, Computer Terminology, Animal Kingdom, beverages, cuisine, beers, pop culture, TV shows, Olympics, In the News, Bryan Adams, Serial Killers, Religion, Mafia, Cartoons Characters, Chemical Elements, and so on.
As the Quizmaster will tell you, "This is an English Pub," so the questions will be weighted to English(-language) questions, but there are always rounds on other subjects, too, such as French literature, Scandinavia, and such.
Teams can have up to 6 people - very strict on this. You are allowed to "joker" one round per Quiz, which doubles your points for that round. To do this, you let the scorer know as soon as the topic is posted for that round.
I go there every week and it's really fun. Even if you don't want to join every week, consider coming once in a while. You'll meet some fun people, challenge yourself ("Damn! I know that one! It's on the tip of my tongue!") and you might win vouchers for free drinks.
I play on a team, but there is plenty of room to start a new team or join teams with less than 6 people.
You can call me at +41.79.783.09.90 if you have questions or need to find me.
Then, on your mark, get set, QUIZ!
