Hello Oriental Cultures Lovers !

As you know, there is a big Lebanese Dinner going on Saturday, April 6th. If you can’t join us for this meal, you can still come and enjoy the “Oriental Apero” : Listen to music, smoke some shisha, have a glass or two of Arak, wine, beer, mint tea… and most importantly : RELAX and forget about your week…

During the Apero, you will also have the chance to get (or just watch) Henna Tattoos.
Indeed, we will get the chance to have one of the best Henna artists in Geneva as a guest and she will be performing tattoos for those interested from 6pm to 7:30pm.

>>About the artist :
Her name is Asima, she comes from Pakistan and she has been performing Henna in Switzerland for 7 years now, which allowed her to develop her expertise in many different styles.

>>What are Henna Tattoos?
Henna tattoos are a very ancient tradition used in many oriental cultures and religions, and which are still an important ritual nowadays in Jewish and Muslim weddings.
Henna is a plant (100% natural, no additives), that once grinded and mixed with water becomes a green paste with a very strong dyeing power. Once applied, you shall let it on your skin for at least one hour: The more it stays, the more the color of the final tattoo will be intense (it ranges from light orange to very dark brown depending on the “rest time”). After the rest time, you just rub th henna off your hands. Since Henna is a colorant plant, these tattoos are obviously not permanent and will disappear after a few days.

>>Who can get the tattoos? How much does it cost?
Traditionally, these tattoos are reserved to women and are made on the hands and/or feet. The price will depend on the size and the complexity of the design you choose and will start from only 5 francs.

Since we are a lot of people, Asima might not have the time to perform her art on everyone so please send me a message if you want to be sure to have a spot saved on her schedule.
